Thanks for taking the time to talk to us today! Can you introduce yourself to our Italian readers and share the story of Bullshark Games?
Thanks for having me! I’m Andre, the founder and CEO of Bullshark Games. I’ve been in the gambling industry for over a decade, first as a poker player, then working on the casino side in various roles including game testing, product management, and casino operations. Eventually, I knew I wanted to build something of my own.
Bullshark Games is a player-first slot studio, created by people who genuinely love gambling. Our goal is to create games that we would actually enjoy playing ourselves, games that offer fresh mechanics, bold themes, and strong win potential. We’re not here to copy what’s already out there. We always try to add a twist that makes each release feel different and exciting.
Your newest game Age of Seth taps into ancient Egyptian mythology. What inspired you to focus on Seth, and how did you translate his character into the gameplay?
We’ve always liked the mystery and intensity of ancient Egypt, but we didn’t want to make just another game that mirrored the rest. Seth, being the god of chaos, war, and storms, gave us a chance to explore a darker and more unpredictable side of Egyptian mythology.
We reflected that in the extreme volatility and the feeling that anything can happen at any time. The symbol collection system builds suspense, while the Seth Wild can drop out of nowhere and completely change the course of a session. It’s a game built around unpredictability, just like Seth himself.
From Coop Clash to Amazing Miceketeers to Age of Seth, your games show a wide variety of styles. How do you decide on a game’s visual direction?
We start with the theme and mechanics, and the visual style naturally follows from there. A game like Coop Clash is light, silly, and fast-paced, so it made sense to use a cartoon style. Age of Seth, on the other hand, has a darker theme and more tension, so we went with a moody, atmospheric look that fits the tone.
We don’t want all our games to look the same. We’d rather each release feel like a unique world, so players are curious about what’s coming next, both in gameplay and in design.
Bonus Buys are a hot topic. What is your philosophy behind offering several different Bonus Buy options, and how do they impact gameplay?
We love giving players options. Not everyone plays the same way, some want a fast route to the action, others want to take their time and build up. In Age of Seth, for example, we offer four different Bonus Buy options, from feature-enhanced spins to the full Super Bonus.
Each buy-in creates a different level of risk and excitement, and we try to balance the math carefully, so no option feels unfair. Bonus Buys should enhance the gameplay, not break it, and that’s something we always keep in mind during development.
In your opinion, which Bullshark Games title best represents your studio’s identity, and why?
It’s tough to pick just one, but I’d say Junkyard Kings really captures what we’re about. It has a unique grid setup, walking wilds, and a ton of volatility, all wrapped in a theme that’s a little unexpected and quirky.
It’s the kind of game that feels different from the moment you start playing. That’s something we aim for with every release: new ideas, bold execution, and enough depth to keep players coming back.
Can you give SlotJava readers a sneak peek at what Bullshark Games has planned for late 2025?
Absolutely! The second half of 2025 is going to be packed with exciting new content. We’re working on several games with non-traditional structures, not just your typical 5×3 setups. Expect some bold experiments with mechanics, more progressive features, and a couple of themes you probably haven’t seen from us yet.
One of the games we were most excited about, Age of Seth, has already launched, and the response has been fantastic. Now, we’re building on that momentum with several new titles that continue to push boundaries in both gameplay and design. If you’ve enjoyed what we’ve released so far, we think you’ll love what’s coming next.
